(20/08/24) Thai AirAsia X has confirmed plans to resume flights between Bangkok and Sydney, Australia.
Scheduled to take off on 1 December 2024, the airline will operate the route with six flights per week.
Flight XJ388 is set to depart from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport (DMK) every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 07:00, arriving in Sydney at (SYD) at 20:35.
From Sydney, flight XJ389 is scheduled to leave at 21:50 on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, arriving in Bangkok at 03:45, the following day.
Flight XJ382 is slated to depart from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport (DMK) every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 17:15, arriving in Sydney (SYD) at 06:50, the following day.
Flight XJ383 is timed to depart from Sydney every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 08:20, arriving in Bangkok at 14:15.

For added convenience, travellers can also book FlyThru tickets that link Sydney with other destinations in Thailand such as Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
In anticipation of a surge in travel demand for the year-end holiday season, Thai AirAsia X will also be increasing flight frequencies to Tokyo to 18 times a week, Osaka (14 times per week), Sapporo (seven times per week), Nagoya ( times a week), Seoul (14 times a week) and Shanghai (7 times per week).

Thai AirAsia X currently operates a fleet of eight Airbus A330 aircraft with plans to extend the fleet to 11 by the year’s end, subsequently adding between three to five aircraft each year in line with its growth and demand projections.
